Lilac Cottage - a three-bedroom timber framed dwelling on land purchased by a client from Berkshire. |
| We were responsible for all but the timber frame
part of the dwelling. The unusually high ceilings are a feature which
gives, what appears externally to be a small house, the feeling of being
light and airy. Timber frame is not, in our opinion the cheapest option, as is so often portrayed, but it can lend itself to some innovative designs. |

Owl Cottage - a fine four-bedroom house in the
village of Ashwater. We were asked by the owners to construct a house to their design. We put the client in touch with a local architect and arranged meetings with the local authority. |
| The project was completed “out of income” over
an 18 month construction period. A fine chestnut floor, a large inglenook fireplace, a “room-in-the-roof and rainwater “harvesting” are outstanding features which make us pleased to have been associated with this project. |

House renovation in Clawton. A local architect contacted us in order to carry out some minor repairs. Subsequently the house was renovated from top to tail including complete rewiring and re-decoration. |
| A further wing was added to the main dwelling. The same clients then instructed us to renovate an old Pig Pen and convert it into a study / music room - see photographs on "Barn Conversions" page. |
